I Know a Guy who has a NEW K&N Cold air intake setup for his Pontiac or somthin, It has the Same 90 Degree turn on it as the one for the SRT 10. Its spanking new and he dosnt want it, So im gonna pick it off of him for only $30. What a deal right.......

What i was wondering was, Were can i get this Elbow that attaches from the intake tube to the throttle-body??? The little 90drgree rubber piece shown in the picture below. Is that something that can be bought separate or at a Hardware store, any Help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you could get it at a hardware store, but I'm sure someone else will have a proper answer for you :D

Burke- the picture you posted is of a custom intake on a Roe supercharged engine. Your "Pontiac Somethin' " intake probably won't look anything like that....nor will it work (or get you 175HP. LOL).

The throttle body shape on our trucks is OVAL, and it's 4.5" in diameter.
It's not round, and it's not small.

I'd have to double-check the sizes, but I don't believe than an LSx-shaped intake will mount to our throttle bodies.

Sorry about your $30.

I told you someone would have a much better answer

Ive been Looking at allot of different brands of intake, AirHammer, K&N, and other simple Advance Auto Solutions for under $60. If i can just find this Piece i can bypass allot of "Vehicle Specific" applications and i think relay save myself allot of money.

Im gonna need that extra cash i think, because after i get this settled im Defiantly gonna invest in some Magnaflow Catless Mids, I already have Wicked Glass-pack exhaust, i think it will really help with the Power and GRUMBLE FACTOR. After all, im pretty sure i can get a Reasonable return on my investment by taking my old mid-pipes to a scrap-yard and selling my CATs

Ive sold cheaper, less expensive cats there for $30, and there are 4 of these, Good deal Right???

Dont get me wrong, whereas i would love to gain an extra 1700 Hp from something paid $30 im not looking to get off that cheap, ROE or not, That is still the same Throttle body as stock, and i know its not the best picture its just the Most focused on i could find after looking for 15 seconds.

I know it wont be a Direct fit, But what fun would it be if it did, In retrospect all i have is a Pipe and a Filter,
Pipe=Circle
Throttle Body=Oval

This is the only think holding me back from designing a wicked Custom intake, I am 2 years into college to be a Civil Engineer, and having already gotten my ASE certification at the age of 19 after all. If this kicks my ass i might just as well just go on Social security right now.

A new K&N would cost way more than $30 anyway, so overall im already ahead for just having took it off his hands,

Dude....you put glass packs on your truck?
Please tell me you're kidding.

- AirHammer doesn't make an intake for the Viper engine. If they did, it'd be size of a golf bag....like the one Rodney had in "Caddyshack".

- K&N has good gear, and many here roll with it.

- Trying to be cheap will only garner you headaches and hassles.

When it comes to CAI for the trucks, there are a couple of rules:

1. Avoid Hennessey's CAI.
2. Don't expect *any* HP gains. If you do get some, cherish them.
3. The scoop on the hood is a VENT. It's not an intake. It's there to release hot air from the engine bay; not pull air in.
4. The stock airbox is actually pretty damn good!
5. Start your shopping with JMB Performance's CAI. Yes- it's more than $60, and well worth it.
6. No matter which CAI you choose, purchase it from one of the VTCOA vendors.

the k&n just has a piece of rubber hose about 4 or 5 in in diameter when squeezed becomes oval. only abuot 2 or 2 1/5 inches long held on with 2 band clamps, if thats what your talking about.

Yep what they said Justin from JMB can sell you the rubber piece & you could build the tube using some mandrels once you get it fitting perfectly weld her up & have it powder coated or polished whatever you like.

i didnt know magnaflow made catless mids:dontknow:

The Stocker is better. Some of these aftermarket units are made of aluminum which gets heat soaked. The Stocker is made of a thermoplastic material which DOESN't get heat soaked. This might be the reason some folks have reported a HP drop after installing some of these aftermerket units. The picture you have posted was made by someone here and is attached to a ROE SUPERCHARGER. The Roe SC doesnt have ANY CAI so anything is an improvement in that respect in my opinion.
Granted the thermoplastic material doesn't look as good but its all about what your after
