Cold weather start up, whining noise?

I am going to run the cheap Mopar Wally World special. It is just a filter and will be fine as long as it doesn't reduce pressure or blow apart. The K&N filter is probably made by a cheapo company and sold through K&N. I'm sure the Mopar filter is too but the noise will be gone or hopefully so. Mine makes the noise even in warm weather. It sounds like a supercharger.
Yep, The black OEM should take care of it.

it's not cold here long enough to justify changing out to synthetic...I'll deal with the noise for now.

Lol the truck makes more noise then all 6 of my past vehicles combined. Nope gotta make time to get it in the shop.

HOLY SHIZZER!!! 4 QUARTS!!! THAT WAS THE ENGINE BEGGING FOR ITS LIFE!!! :goodnight:

Yea it sounds like a supercharger noise but goes away when warm. I figured it was col weather related.
I knew Id get something like that from chub...by the way the hub is doing good the old hub sounded like it was gonna break any second when I got it off!

No noises here with lows in the 20's.

What would cause the oil filter to whine or vibrate on start up?

Actually, I think it is the oil bypass valve not the filter. Just some filters work with it better than others. :dontknow:
