i bought JMB's line lock kit, finished it & did some smokey burnouts tonight to test -- it works great !!!

i followed kevan's line lock install instructions, it was very informative - thanks kevan !!!

i did make a few changes that i want to share to give more options.....
the line lock kits is fine, but i threw out the switch, lamp & inline fuse holder for the following:

i also changed the power source to the blue connector under the dash (the electric trailer brakes i'll never use) which is a much shorter run & is battery power (i don't mind)..... i didn't hook up the diode either........see pic below:

You're very welcome!
Glad to see you're having fun with it. (Pics of said burnouts are REQUIRED. :D )

I agree that the Hurst switch, lamp, and fuse holder are crappy. Someone needs to tell hurst that it's 2008. LOL
Good choice on the RS stuff. It should work fine.

I have a bunch of the diodes here if you want one. Just PM me an address.

Thanks for finding the 12V on the blue connector. I never even considered it, and left it alone in case.....someday.....maybe....I'd haul a trailer. :D

Justins kit does work well...very happy with mine...and agree that the Hurst switch is a POS..mine was corroded inside and would not work so I changed to this...

I like the Hurst handle you have there.
If I ever switch to a floor mounted shifter for my QC I will add that handle and run my line lock in series with my toggle. That way the button will only be armed when I have the toggle in position.
