I think he has some springs that don't require any machining, just R&R.

if he is reading off comp cams web site thier springs require more clearance ,,i had a set of duel springs installed and it reqiured more clearance,there is a set that says it does not require machining but its a single spring setup

I have been able to find a single bee hive set up that is the same strength actually a little stronger than the dual set up, both work fine, actually the bee hive springs comes on the stiker heads, the ones on the comp website, require more than jsut headwork, they actually require cups retainers, and caps, and you should also add pushrods to that, the oem ones are not strong enough
