Looks AWESOME!!! Like Kevan said, I love the XPS skins. 
I have a Mac Book Pro that I never used... paid $3000 for it, and was going to sell it. :dontknow: Just couldn't get used to OS-X. My Mom and dad bought it from me, and I guess they love it! Plus, I haven't had to go over there to de-virus their computer in over a year! :rock: :nurse:

How much? Well, when I first started there were over 350 processes running at idle.
When I left, there were less than 20.
It was so fast, she thought it was a whole new machine.

I had the same experience with my dad this last holiday. I spend a ton of time fixing his network and cleaning his machines of all the crap. He had so much crap on his machine he had no idea about.
Some times I wonder if a MAC would be better. I spend so much time cleaning things up these days. I wonder if a less high profile OS would be good for the home user. MAC's don't suffer from all the attacks that the MS OS has to deal with.
I'm thinking about getting a MAC Book to see how it runs. One thing I have on my home network is a firewall device to keep all the shit off my home network. Most people don't do this.
Just frustrated. I hate hackers. We spend too much time dealing with them. They suck ass.

I bought Sarah a HP 17" Laptop (with the full keyboard, and the new AMD dual-core processor) a few months ago... It's (surprisingly) a VERY nice machine! :dontknow:
And we got it on sale at Office Depot for $650! :rock: :rock: :rock: The only thing that sucks, is it has Vista on it....

i have run 2 alienware machines side by side with dells they are much nicer as far as comparison and i have tried many of the machines on the market and they just don't hold a match to the alienwares.

I have an Alienware laptop that is faster than most desktops....
When I bought it in 2004, it was the only laptop on the market that would run Doom 3 and Farcry! It's still a very nice machine, although I need a new harddrive for it. (I wasn't paying attention to the amount of dust created by the renovation of my kitchen, and the dust clogged the vents for the fan and cooked my HD!)
I am a tinkerer, so the Microsoft OS works for me, plus it runs my games! If I were an artist, or a simpleton, I would probably run a MAC too!

Here's only a single comparo of 20 I could bring up when I googled this comparison. In every test, The Alienware box benches higher in F.E.A.R., but NO other application.
If you're talking about Alienware desktops, fine... but they are nowhere near the "only choice" in the current 17 and 19 inch laptop selections.

i just ordered the same laptop myself, the Dell XPS 1730, got a few different things though, i went with the 7900Xtreme processor, got the ageia physx engine and the raid 1 400 gb memory, but still waiting for it
