How would I identify if I had a stage 2 computer flash?

I was checking out the computer and noticed it had another sticker over the stock sticker it said:

"authorized software update"
P/N P0529598AE
SEQUENCE 431680

does that mean anything? or is it just a regular firmware update?

That's a tough one. Unless it has some type of sticker saying that it came from one of the guys doing Stage 2 flashes, I don't think there is a way without actually going into the code and reading it. You might pull it off the firewall and see if it's got a sticker on the other side. If you haven't done so already.

My stock PCM says the same thing. That's more than likely a stock PCM.

My Stage II has a sticker from the tuner on it......

I think they put that additional sticker on the PCM when the dealer programs in a update. The shift points can tell you for sure if you have a stock one or flashed one. But I am guessing you are still stock.

He has an RC.

First pull the pcm out and look for a B&G sticker, mine was yellow or a DC Performance one which was white and in a very small font, it spelled out what was done.
Second, how hot does your truck run? If you stay under 180` you prolly have a new t stat in there otherwise if your running at 200 or 210 you still have a stock t stat and all pcm upgrades suggest your change out your t stat.
