I was replacing my belt today and after close inspection I notice that my crank pulley outer edge is bang up pretty well. Look's like some one used a hammer to settle it on the crank.

My question is, are the pulley and balancer one unit? Or can I removed and replace the pulley without messing with balancer?

Thanks...

If someone hammered your balancer on the crank, I hope the bearings are ok! .... Yikes!

Dude only a dumbass would use a hammer on a balancer, but if that happened you need to replace the pulley and the balancer, seriously!

If that balancer was beat on , it could eventually fail on ya at the absolute worst time:(

But I do think you can jsut replace the pulley alone , jsut never have looked at it to be honest

How much? Any idea?

The pully can be replaced by itself, they had to replace mine when I kissed the telephone pole, but get ready for the lead time on getting one from Chrysler, mine took over a month.
