I have an 04 rc and i revved it up with the clutch pushed in the other day, and the clutch pedal moved in and out. Are these trucks prone to crank walk? it has 81k miles on it. thanks

If the crank moved that much it would be in your lap. I would think it was clutch hydraulics.

Have someone look at the harmonic balancer while you step on the cluch and watch for in and out movement. Not uncommon on engines to wear the main bearing ( thrust) bearing particularly if you are always holding the cluch in traffic and such.
My Dad repaced them often in the propane trucks he serviced due to being on the clutch all the time.

The Yettie repaced the mains in my 69 chevy for that reason, the crank was walking about an 1/8 of an inch ( previous owner was always on the clutch)

Dodge book says, End Play .002 -.007 in.

Do you sit at red lights with the truck in gear and the clutch in? this is a practice that can lead to crank walk. especially if you have a heavier than stock PP in there.

I just bought it last fall and have drove less than 1500 miles. It came from phoenix so I am going to guess it was at some red lights. When I drive it, its usually doing a burnout at all times, and when I touch the brakes my head bounces off the steering wheel.
