Does anyone have one of these laying around or know where I can get a factory elbow ? At the drivers side front of the valve cover .
Also looking for the inside diameter of each end .. can’t seem to find any measuring device in case I need to do a parts store run .

The thing has a hole and vacuum was leaking pretty bad .

Ronnie - He probably has the ID measurement

Funny that such a small rubber elbow hose can be found online .. I think I’m going to have to drive around to parts stores and see what I can find .. I don’t want to put a hose on that will kink when bent … heck not even sure I could get some kid old AN connection to replace it .

Well it looks like some plumbing stuff at Home Depot - LOL

That what I ended up doing except at Advance Auto parts .

worked out decent enough doing the jury rig cut and clamp method . Cost of hose was 17.99 and 4 hose clamps 4.99 and only needed 1 . Added 2 cans of 134a refrigerant for my beater Dakota .. and out the door for a total of 50.25.
Hose part number and make was Dorman #46025 ..

Pics are original factory elbow and the new Dorman elbow with clamp . The clamp was need to make sure it was sealed tight .. original ID was different sizes . It was a really nice fit on the one side and just a very minuscule loose on the clamp side .

It isn't serviced separately, it's part of the larger piece (latest p/n 5037306AE). Here is one on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/314543517504
Thanks HemiLonstar ,, I think you found the only one left in existence … but no way im buying the entire set up when all I need is the 1 elbow .. they want 46.xx for it plus shipping and we all know shipping doubles the price now :(. I think I need to get out more ,, damn prices are ridiculous from what I remember a few years ago .. I’m all fixed now and didn’t take long to find a workable part and put it in .. see post above with the pics .. acceptable IMO :)

That fix looks great!! No kinks there!

That was a requirement with what I needed .. the new hose was formed like a 90 degree elbow bot longer on bot ends .. had to cut a little over an inch on each side and it matched up almost exactly without any kinks since it was already formed with the proper bend ..
took it for a few mile drive .. ooops need to check tires air pressure hahaha , put some fresh gas in it .. damn been 2 years with the same gas .. still fired up , ran fine and didn’t smell any varnish stink ever .. I’ve been starting it up every couple weeks for those 2 years in the driveway and a short quick run around the block since my health crap .. it was a full tank then ,, was down to about 1/8 of a tank today so added the fresh gas .. seems good to go except the trie pressure and the front brake pads are due .. then it’s decision time or from caliper rebuild , paint job and finding the short somewhere in the radio circuit . My guess is the drivers speaker wire that come from the dash through the door to the speaker .. right now I have the fuse pulled for the radio and no battery drainage .. but who knows exactly where the short will be , there always a pain in the butt to find …

The Queen gets Sta-bil fuel treatment with her gas just incase she ends up sitting longer than usual :p

sounds like you're getting it all dialed back in! Hopefully everything is going well for you and you can keep the foreward momentum. Prayers for you

don't they make a tool you can chase the shirt down with? Like a stud Finder for electrical shorts?

I literally had to replace mine this past weekend. The one the shop put on, split withing two days, so I wrapped it with electrical tape. Lasted for about a month, then started leaking again. Went to O'Riellys part store, they didn't show one in the computer. Went to the hose shelf, and matched up a generic hose with mine. Works like a champ! $10 is what it cost me.

Some of the hose they used from the factory IMO are weak . I’ve had several factor vacuum hoses crack in the past .. Maybe they new this would be a problem and part of the reason the made the trucks run rich ,, well who knows ,, Just something that popped into my head lol.

I’m doing the little by little problems ,,, there really are only 2 bigger problems and that’s the calipers locking up and the short .. no idea about a tool for short besides a volt amp meter and test light which I have ! Then there is the big matter of a paint job .. I can and have done them except again my HOA jerks already threatened me with fines i I continue what I started.

As for me I had to go for my cardio follow up this morning after having more test done on my oil pump .. echocardiogram, ekg , lower body ultrasound and chest X-rays blah blah .. to top it off my oil pump was in syncs rhythm from Oct. 6 until yesterday and bang I’m back in irregular again . Left and right atriums are mildly enlarged. All in all Doc gave me a choice , stick with what we’re doing or move to the next whatever .. I’m sticking to what we’re doing for now , next visit in 3 months .
Weight down from 316 to 193.2 this morning . I’m lower in weight than I was at 20 years old .
Oil pressure is all in range of a 20 year old .
All the test should no oil circulation problem or lung problems.
So the only things I need fixed are my barefoot treads so when I walk I’m not waking on pointy gravel and no rigamortise in my toe joints . And getting my oil pump to stay I’m sinus rhythm..
Also need to get my muscles back to where they were .. damn 65 is young and I need to be able to stand up from ground level without having something to grab hold of .. but working on that walking average 6.1 miles per day with a best of 14.1 miles .. Nowhere near what I use to do daily working the last 22 years .
I’m also down to 2 oil pump supplements … Eliquis and Metoperlol from the 10 I started with 2 years ago ..
