Crankshaft questions

Willing to bet that at least 25% of the existing stock engines have cracks in the piston lands...Dodge had to try to get to fleet emission standards and I think the amount of metal in the piston dome in our engines was one of the compromises...

Just wish there were 10 currently doing head work...if they looked at the piston ring lands of every one of their pistons...two or three or more would have cracks from the land to the dome...and of those that have significant blow-by...100% will find the cracks. Just my opinion but I would bet a good bit of cash on those percentages.
