If you're in North Texas, be aware of Cruisers on Mondays.
Found this by way of the Cruisers web site (mycruisers.com):
Cruisers’ calendar lists tonight as “Rice Killer Night†(ricekiller.com). The local Rice Killer Club meets there Mondays for the “biggest weekly car show in Texas†- over 450 cars there last week – parking lot has room for 1000! :D

One of there members will be on PINKS - Speed channel Wednesday night – a PINKS watching get-together Wednesday in Garland. I won’t be there Wednesday, but sounds like a fun bunch. :D

Hope it doesn’t rain this evening - looking forward to meeting other North Texas SRT10 owners and seeing some other awesome cars.
Who is planning to go?

a report

I thought I’d give you a short report. The event is offically called the Rice Killers Car Club car show - a weekly event at cruisers in Frisco (www.mycruisers.com). Rules are no drinking, no burnouts, no racing. But plenty of loud music and loud pipes!

Got there about 8:30pm – about 100 cars – about 400 by 10PM when I left. “A light turnout due to the forecast of rain†they said. It never rained – a very pleasant evening. Had music and a DJ – interesting restaurant. Lots of hot cars – 3 Vipers, a dozen or more Vettes, 4 Lightnings, lots of Mustangs, Camaros & Firebirds. And no shortage of ricers. About a dozen hot bikes – fast imports & Harleys, a few customs. One of the coolest cars was a new Cadillac with a hot racing engine and a stick shift – sounded hot!

I parked and raised my hood so folks could see it’s not an ordinary Ram. One kid said, "I don't understand why Dodge would put a Viper motor in a pickup." I told him "if you drove it you'd understand." Got a few nice comments from folks then walked around, looked and took pictures. Nothing bad about the scene, but it's not for everyone. No foul language and no drinking – some very loud music which I enjoyed.

Highlight of the evening was meeting Andrew, a Christian with a unique Christian decal on his racing Firebird. Decal was a racecar facing the cross with “Run the Race†underneath. He quoted the scripture it was from, and we discussed ministry to the kids that go to these events.

I met one other SRT10 owner with a black QC, Chris, who arrived as I was leaving. I told him my son wanted to come so we will probably go next week. Steve (Texas Yellow Fever) wants to go and check it out also - maybe we can all get there together next week. :D

Thanks, Chris, for turning us on to Cruisers!:D
