Cummings trans

So my dads Dodge cummings reverse gear just went out today. Truck drives perfect in drive, but when you put it in reverse it does nothing. I havent got a chance to look at it yet, but he is gonna bring it by my shop tonight. Thoughts? Im thinking maybe a simple band adjustment/replacement. Ive heard that they snap reverse bands. He said the past couple days in reverse the truck was very jumpy like it was binding up or something

What year it probably doesnt have 1st also,it could be a servo but if you pull the pan and there is metal you need to rebiuld

Its a 05. Same 48RE as us just different torque converter/stator. Yea i figured probley just need to do a rebuild. Its got over 200k outta it. And we use that crap out of that thing for towing our boat and race car.

Had that happen to one of ours once and it was just something with the linkage in the trans. They fixed it in one day and didn't take any parts if I recall.

kinda like the 300c srt, they had a trans cable that would stretch and not allow the car to go into gear.
