Custom Duel Air Box Intake..

My rationale is that the boxes will allow cooler air to enter than the open filter under the hood. I will do some temp test with this setup compared to the Roe single cone filter. I drove around yesterday evening about 20 miles and when I got back home and raised the hood the metal inatke pipes were cool to the touch..
i agree with your thinking that stock air boxes with a k&n filter give cool air to the engine vs all these other aftermarket open filters under the hood, but really don't think two air boxes are needed......... :dontknow:
interesting idea & alot of work though. :)

I did some temp tests today......the IAT temp is running 6-7 degrees cooler at hwy speeds....still got some testing to do but looks like the idle/in town IAT is running 20+ degrees cooler....

I moved the battery to the rear with JMBs kit. The fuse box is now in the battery bin but is not actually attached. This is still a work in process. Boost still pegs at a little over 9 LBs.

NINE POUNDS !!! and you are picking on me???? You big bully!!:D :D

Great Idea . I don't think the headloss through the T is a big deal since its drawing from both sides. The filters should be the same so the drop is the same there. It max it can flow CFM wise would be the capacity of that oval tube anyways. What I would like to see however are those pipes made of some non conducting material. Maybe some thermoplastic or something because they have to heat up eventually and become little heat exchangers themselves.
