Custom Viper Pistons

Damn wish I had the spare cash cause I'm planning to forge my motor this winter if the truck doesn't sell

nice start to a good build:rock:

Those are .030 over. You probably need to resleeve the block to have those work. I wouldn't purchase them.

Exactly what I was thinking. They probably found that out once they got them, now selling because of it.

Please excuse my stupidity but how much over stock would be expected on an engine with 30k on it? If it was only .010 would you still need to resleeve it? Is there any chance of a quick hone and replacing with stock bore?

You can indeed get away with a .005 hone and install pistons that are sized .005" or 4.035 I believe. Careful measuring of each cylinder wall will determine bore size. Most can get away with a hone, while some have egg shape cylinders. Cam journals are also problem area due to lack of bearings.
