I did a search like a good little new guy, but only saw some minor weight reduction cutting in the front bumper. Has anybody ever cut the whole middle part off?

I'm not in it for the weight reduction so much, but that grille in the bottom part of the bumper would be a great place for a tinted light bar and also for some more green ambient lighting like I have in the grille and scoop and interior.

My buddy is respraying the bumper cover before the splitter goes on so it'll be a perfect time to do it.

Thoughts? I like lights, and pics btw
Here's why I want to add a bar to the 10 and more green

I already have 2 rigid pods on each side of the radiator, using the bolts on the crossmember.

They aren't tinted and are hardly noticable when you look, and since they're hyper-spot they go very far. Perfect for 130 at night on a highway, which is kinda why I did them, for driving between CT and VA at night. The LED bars tho, they put out a flood of light, which gives you a great view when they're combined.

Ever get stopped with them lights?
Been wanting some red for the 10. White for the back of my plow Jeep & tractor. Still have not come up with the scratch yet.

I forgot to add a day pic, silly me. My Dad and I have full 360 degree lighting, his is the 4th gen.

I would hate to be the guy who leaves his high beams on in on coming traffic with you

We only use our lights for good, but tailgaters and assholes definitely have gotten them before.

My brother got stopped because it "looked like a plane was landing" from a mile down the road. I've been stopped for my blue grille lights, and at 3am just crossing into VA, I had passed 4 cops with all front and side lights on (I was the only person on the the road, turned them off when I saw them) and the 4th one stopped me, walked around the Hemi twice, and asked why I was using side lights. Then let me carry on.

But, does anybody have any opinions on the bumper? I know it won't be as strong in a collision and such, but any other ideas?

I have done it, sveral others as well.
For me the reason was weight saving.

Here are some pics of JMB who sold this pair of bumper supports, i did the same just did not make any photos.

I use them like high beams. With more caution.

It's okay, you can try to, but you'll still be blind.

If anybody else was wondering about the LEDs, these are the pics I have from when I installed and wired them

Not that it matters but that's my front bumper support and I did that work my self. Also did all the mounting brkts.

Charlie, good to know. I just remembered that Justin sold the rear bumper support a while back.

I followed this example and saved weight on my truck as well.

Btw. I thought this is what the thread was all about....:D

I just let it go where it needed to lol

Is all that green light (hood scoop&grill) from just them 2 LED strips?

There's a 3rd strip on the heat shield the lights the scoop, but yes, those 2 light up the whole front of the truck. They are the bigger leds and available at advanced auto and pepboys. I have them inside too and they supply ample green.
