Too late now but if it's a windows mobile phone there is a thing called "Microsoft My Phone". It's basically a backup for all your numbers, pictures and programs you have on your phone. You sync your phone with it and if this ever happens again, you'll still have all your info in one place and all you'll have to do is re-sync your phone to it.

I'm sure Iphone and Droid have something similar.
