On my 90 degree elbow I have a threaded hole for something. Not sure if this is supposed to face up or down. What goes there? I dont have anything in my stock Paxton corregated tube. If I dont need anything, can I just put a threaded end or something on there?

Also, behind the headlight (passengar side) is something black that looks like it has no function. Do I trim this to get the airbox (front toward grill area) to sit "down" so I can reinstall the screws that hold that part in? Just checking before I start getting out the saw. How much of the 4 inch red hose did you end up cutting off (goes from inlet to airbox (90 degree piece)?

Ok lets see here..

I assume you mean the new DC elbow yes...?....the threaded hole is for a meth nozzle....no meth...you need to plug it...

The Balck thing on the headlight (backside passenger) is where the up/down adjuster screw for the main light does a u turn into the housing....you need to cut it off...(dremel)...MAKE SURE you like where your light is pointed...this will be your last chance....

Thanks a bunch. I need to get a Dremel...and a plug for the 90 degree elbow.

I used a 4" grinder with a cutting blade on it.....:dontknow:

One more question. Can I put a metal plug in the aluminum 90 degree elbow? Do I need any pipe dope or anything to secure it. Not sure if I can put metal into aluminum.

no dope needed...all of your bolts going into your aluminum long block viper motor are metal going to aluminum, so don't worry;)

Metal plug is best,if you use aluminum it may seize. Use a small amount of liquid teflon or teflon taped will work well also.

Well, I got the inlet box in...bolts didnt quite match up so I have one secured on each end. I'm looking at the aluminum 90 degree elbow. On top of it is an opening for a small hose attached to a brass thingy (dont know the proper term). Can I pull that hose off, turn the brass thingy out then re-attach it to the aluminum 90 degree elbow?

As you can tell this is something new and I dont want to screw something up. It looks like I need to remove a small 45 degree chrome elbow that came with the Paxton so I can put Dans 90 degree piece on. This is located under the small intercooler reservoir where the water/antifreeze goes.

U need a water meth kit.....dont plug the hole....PM me ...I have a brand new FJO water meth kit that Im not using, ill hook ya up. you'll notice a big difference after this mod....and it looks killer!

Tried to reply to your PM on that Blake. Consider it sold, man.

I got the inlet tube into the airbox on today and the airbox is fairly secure. I cant get that damn 90 degree elbow to fit however. The piece thats in the way is the little air filter thing handing down from the intercooler. I dont think I can turn it upward (or can I) in fear that I may bust the seal and something (intercooler fluid) may come out.

Dan said to raise an adjustment bolt below the intercooler to make more room but I cant find it. I see a bracket thats mounted to the top of the motor which looks to support the intercooler and probably some of the weight of the intercooler/supercharger but am unsure.

I tried calling DC 3 days this afternoon and just got the answering machine. That just made everything else that much worse...not getting anyone to answer.

Sorry you are having a tough time....the filter on the intercooler is the blow off valve and mine is turned with the filter up....

DC was dyno tuning a 1200 hp viper today....I can not express how loud it was....phones would be useless...the crew not even working on that car was wearing hearing protection...I was there 15 minutes and my ears were ringing for 2 hours...

I talked to Dan around lunchtime (pacific time) and he told me to look out something that can adjust the height (I think) of the intercooler. He thought it may need to be trimmed.

Nowwhat, can I turn the filter and its assembly up? Will anything come out (fluid or anything)? If not, that may be the key to getting this finally installed. I see on dans site that theirs is turned down.

Thanks for your help, I'm slowly getting there.

I have seen them up and down....for sure it will go up...it is a sealed unit...I don't think any coolant will come out...lossen the screws and you will see if it starts to leak..

It seems the AC hose is preventing the round part of the 90 degree elbow from sitting flush. I've attached 2 pics of it. Its the hose with the zip ties around it (not sure why they're on there). Hate to mess with that too much and bust something and have ac or whatever it is all over the place. I did flip the blowoff valve upright, nothing came out. Once this elbow is on I'm home free...until I start it up. Hopefully, nothing will go wrong there.

Damn....I don't have my truck so I can't go look....but for someone with a RC has that Line (hose) been moved so those headers could fit...?

Well, I forced that biotch (90 degree elbow) into place this morning then realized that I had to reinstall the brass fitting. So, it would appear I'm done with this project. I do have to get another blowoff valve filter...the current one has some rips and tears and may come off at any time. Dan got me Paxtons number so I can get a part #.

I'd like to support one of our vendors here. Anyone want some business?

DOH...heres a tip. When you install the large 90 degree elbow REMOVE THE INTERCOOLER!! I didnt do this but just found out I could. That would have been MUCH EASIER!!

Anyway, maybe I'll do it just to check my handywork. Anyway, anyone with a Paxton needs this setup. Much more air into the supercharger...cooler air at that which we all know means more power!!
