I am going to do this soon.

Any tips or help on easy removal. Are all the badges only on by the 3m style tape. Hood, doors, tailgate.

And If I can keep from breaking any badges would anyone like any of them if needed.

Thanks

heat them up with a heat gun or hair dryer, then use fishing line to cut the 3m tape, then they will come off easy. I'll be doing this in the spring to my truck, but i did it to my last 2 cars and it worked perfect. After you get the badges off, use some "Goo-Gone" to get rid of the remaining 3m tape and then wax/polish the truck for a perfect shine.

When i debabge my trucks. I popped off the babge with a screwdriver and then used bug and tar remover. Works great.

you can use two strips of blue tape or green tape above and below the badge and run a plastic putty knife on the tape...

then go buy a rubber wheel from an auto paint place...the rubber wheel is excellent...no bug and tar remover, or orange spice hand cleaner degreaser goof of googone crap to deal with;)

if you use the fishing line, get you a couple round dowels, tie the line to each one , gives you some thing to hold the line with so it dont cut ya hands up

Screwdriver? Putty knife? Are you fricking kidding me? There is no way I would go that route.

Heat and fishing line here.... Definatly wrap something around the ends.
Cleanup isn't that bad if you use the right stuff.

If your truck is red, or sits outside much... be warned, the paint under the badge might be a different color from the sun fading your paint.

I painted mine, and I was surprised how thick the adhesive behind the badges was. I've debadged a couple of my vehicles in the past and nothing that the amount of adhesive these things do.

lol, u probably havent tried taking the wing off of a supercharged/turbocharged cobalt. GM used a crap load of adhesive and 4 bolts per side to keep that thing down.

Im in the process of converting my truck. Got the Viper engine in a hemi shell and already bought the tailgate badge but could use the door badges....What do you want for them?

This is a forum of viper truck fella's & friends..... I don't want anything for them :D

Just wait till you do the ram head on the tail gate... Good times...

I got the beast "cut and buffed" at a detail shop to get that Black paint mirror like finish. Had them take the emblems off. Good thing to as the DODGE on the tail gate had a different hue of black under it. Wet sand and buffed out looks killer! $75.00 not to bad...
