James when I do the flip kit will i need to reinstall the overload??????????????
I had the overload spring out when I first installed the flip kit and I loved how it looked leveled. When we stuck it up on the lift there was no arch in the other springs so we put it back in but we flipped the overload spring so the arch went with the rest of the springs to give them support. Now I have a slight rake to the truck which I like also.

I did not feel too comfortable with the way the springs kinda waved without the overload spring so I opted to have it put back in. It could last forever like that but I don't know.:dontknow:

Sorry for the dirty truck. The rest of the Caltracs will be going on in January.

The bottom leaf spring is the helper spring I was talking about and is normally flipped over.

I would be interested in seeing a picture of how Travis's or anybody else that removed the helper spring.

with the helper out its gonna ride very smooth, but........your not gonna be able to haul nothing, an over a period of time the springs will start to dearch.
the kit ike is a belltech kit, a little modified, and no I dont give out secrets;)

but you will also need shocks too.

as far as them being unlevel, most are from side to side;) :argh:

Paul I hope yours is still doing well bud:D and thanks again:rock:

How does it ride with the OL spring flipped?

It rides a little rougher not a lot though. My biggest problem I have with the kit is I cut my bump stops up front too short and now have some rubbing. I need to get a new set and start cutting them down SLOWLY :D

By new bump stops......................

its got adjustable brakets.................... ought to make it easiers than the McGaughies kit to dial in the pinion angle. It only had a saddle.

Looks like they removed the overload.
