...... my dad's 04 Cummins' fuel pump gave out last night while repoing a truck. Anyway, is a stock fuel pump the way to go back or a performance pump? Mods are as follows....

AirRaid CAI
Bullydog Torque Dog switch on the fly- +30/+60
6" Bullydog exhaust

TIA for the advice.

might want to go to a built pump supposedly the pumps are the weak link on those engines from what i ve read

Go to Turbodieselregister.com and see what they have to say.

I don't know what year they did away with the original pump on the 24 valve, but the first one was a piece of crap.

CHECK OUT HERE MASSDIESEL.COM TALK TO SCOTT HES THE BEST AND WILL WALK YOU THOUGHT JUST ABOUT ANYTHING HE GOT ME MAKE 854RWHP IN MY CUMMINS ASK HIM ABOUT THE RASP PUMP BY DTT.PAUL

a airdog 100 liftpump will be what u want

lift pump. Thanks guys. I've heard good results from the airdog 100 lift pump.

a performance lift pump is pointless unless you have a hi flow fuel system. example hi flow injectors. the injection pump is where the pressure is made so getting fuel to that is really not a problem unless you have modified your infectors to pump more fuel.

ike is right ,,,lift or injector ,,,most of time the lift goes out then you trash injection pump because of no fuel to lub it,,i would look at lift pump and hope you get lucky ,,major diff in price ,,,plus if your lift is out you will trash new injector pump,,,and unless you spent the money to install 60 hp injectors or bigger the hp injector pumps are an over expense in my minds eye!i would go stock and make sure you have a fuel presure gauge :elefant:
