can anyone tell me what type of dif fluid and trans fluid or gear oil an 06 reg cab takes??

75w90 synthetic in the diff I use royal purple

In the trans I use redline MTL others use ATF

And I guess you can add "smells better when it burns" to the pros of ATF in a manual tranny.

In my diff I now have lucas 75w 140 with lucas antislip additive. Diff was whinning at highway speeds. Under wot no whinning was heard. This was the first change of the diff fluid. Checked gear pattern looked perfect. Backlash is good.

I cant even hear the tires spinning the engine is so loud.

I do "feel" some whinning type noise through my shift nob at highway speeds. I always thought that was the trans, could that be diff as well?
