What are the major difference between the ’05 and the ’06 model? I understand the ’06 has a new hydroformed frame that's boxed its full length to provide more strength and redesigned front suspension (coil over shock?). Standard is 4.56 axles on the RC.

It this a big difference? And what the preference between the two?

I’m trying to decide between the 05 and 06. Any and all insights will be appreciated. :burnout:

I had an 04 RC before I got this 06 RC...
I didn't like the front end much when I first got it but it has grown on me and a LOT of people have told me they like the new one better...that's just personal preference. I know a lot of guys here prefer the 04-05 front end.
THE INTERIOR, however, is a BIG change...I like some aspects and don't...
I like the new center console they put in, it's not like anyone could sit in the middle before if you actually plan on changing gears. Also I like the look of the new dashboard better too. Looks more like a truck this price should have.
I don't like the color and the look of the new interior as much as the 04-05's. I LOVED the BLACK interior of my old truck. The new truck's seats look almost futuristic? The pattern they stiched on the seat is kinda weird, but it's grown on me too. I would rather have had the old seats and true dark interior.
The cupholders I LOVE!! I spilled so many damn things in the old one, but at least they realized they had to change the cupholders to actually HOLD CUPS.
I don't much about the performance differences, I'm sure some other guys will chime in.
It's all about personal preference, which one would you rather wake up and drive? Which one puts a bigger smile on your face? :D

You bring DRINKS in your truck? I'm more crazy than i thought, i never let anything in my 10. The only thing in my cupholders is rolls of gas money:D

I thought you were in a rush to buy my '04 per your pm to me? You'll spend the same amount for a near stock '05 or '06 as you will my heavily modded '04. Heck, you'll pay more at the price I'm trying to get. Oh well.

I'm afraid you're right. I wish I could ask less for my 06, but I gotta have atleast my asking price to get out from under it. I'm not in the position to take much "loss" on it, having to let it go is enough of a loss. . .

If I were in the position to buy and it were between mine and yours, gee, I wonder which one I'd pick. :) If I had waited to now to buy I wouldn't be in this boat, and I'd take yours over an 06 any day, even if it red. :p :D

All 3 yrs have there good points & bad points...most are just an individual preference...I would like to have seen my 06 interior solid black....the interior looks good but I still prefer black..:bebored:

After several hours of debuting with my buddies, several potential problems here, we all agree that your truck is a great deal, my situation would be with the mandatory inspection in Quebec...we know it will not pass. Second problem is I'm not an expert on some of the mods and what if something goes wrong, I'll lucky if I could find anyone out here with experience who be able to help.
