On the dodge website- under the multimedia section is a short video called Dodge Rocked 2005.

Does anyone know how to download a copy? I want to put it on a dvd (i know it will be bad quality - but i want to show some friends on my tv)

:dontknow: :dontknow:

Now that is a cool video. Would love to be able to download it to my IPOD. Hopefully someone will come up with some ideas on how to get a copy of this!!!

Well, I gave it a go this morning.

The file is a .sfw (ShockWave Flash). There are a few tools available for converting it to DVD video.

On the first go 'round, I could only get the video to convert but without any audio. I'll try again later - I'm sure it can be done.

If you ever get er done.....

Well, I got it all converted and authored a DVD of it with Dolby Digital 2.0 sound.

Problem is, it is a 125mb file, so where to store it?!

Looks like this will only be practical to download for those of you on high speed internet.

You can burn a blank DVD of this ISO file with NERO or any other DVD burning Software which supports ISO files.

::EDIT
1) Do any of you have access to newsgroups? If so, I will post it to alt.binaries.dvd and post the .nzb file and/or a link here.
2) Additionally, I can use Winzip or WinRar archiver to split the ISO file into 5 parts and post the parts onto http://putfile.com
3) I can also post the raw MPEG video DodgeRocked2005.mpg to http://putfile.com for those who want just the video file, but I think even that is still over 100mb.
4) I'll see (later on) if I can make it available on a server I have access to. If so, I'll post the link to the DVD ISO file, the mpg file and the swf file here.

Let me know which you prefer, or if you have any alternate solutions. I don't think email will work at all for a 125mb file.

YOUR A LEDGEND MATE!!

Could you post the ISO or raw mgeg version on putfile or something like that? - Or if anyone has a server?
Many Thanks!!

What about

While in the topic of video does any have any of the SRT commericals. I like the one what starts off with the NASCAR drivers walking, then running to get to their cars and end up driving away in SRT's, I think Richard Petty was in the commerical at the end.

or the ram srt-10 commercial with the nascar driver driving home and literally blowing doors off the other vehicles. thats a great one!

Well, the server I have access to is dog-slow (max 50k download speed). Sorry.

If only 1 person downloads at a time, it will take about 40 minutes to DL the ISO file, 32 minutes for the mpg file and 4 minutes for the SWF file.

If someone else tries to download while you do, it doubles the time for each of you. Therefore, if you try to download, and your DL speed is significantly less than 50k (probably 25k or less), please cancel out and try again an hour later.

http://hampton-ridge.com/downloads/rocked2005.iso 109mb (40 minutes @ 50k)
http://hampton-ridge.com/downloads/rocked_2005.mpg 91mb (32 minutes @ 50k)
http://hampton-ridge.com/downloads/rocked_2005.swf 11mb (4 minutes @ 50k)

Is everyone getting it Ok, or do I need to split it up and put it on PutFile or something?

I know this server leaves much to be desired in the way of Download Capacity.

Worked sweet and looks pretty good on tv!! I just burnt video CD.

by the way - how did you capture it from dodge site?

Once I had watched the video in my web browser, I just copied the cached rocked_2005.swf file out of my c:\documents and settings\[your WinXP LoginID]\local settings\temp\plugintmp\ directory. This is where cached (non-streamed) SWF files go if you use the mozilla browser (or any of its variants like FireFox).

If you use IE, the SWFs get cached to c:\documents and settings\[your userid]\local settings\temporary internet files\ instead.

I then used Amor SWF to Video Converter software to make it into a DVD compliant mpg file (also does VCD, SVCD, AVI, othe MPG) .

Then used TMPGEnc DVD Author with Dolby Digital Plugin to author the DVD.

Used DVDShrink to take the DVD structure and compile it all into a single DVD .ISO image.

I have that one, I copied it onto DVD from a Craftman truck race.
I haven't seen any other SRT-10 Commercials.

Yeah - that's Ryan Newman who is just out driving his Ram SRT-10 truck home and all the doors are being blown off the other cars/trucks. Pretty funny!
