dodge trans

Hello,I recently replaced my trans in my 99 dodge 2500 , after the test drive,I found that the trans line goin to the cooler has a small hole.. I replaced the line, and now I'm having problems with the kick down cable..it seems that the pressure valve in the trans is binding not allowing the cable to perform freely..is there a way to release the pressure or binding to allow for proper instal of the kick down,cable..thanks for advise
