Chrysler's 5.7-liter Hemi is the standard fitment, and with 380 horsepower and 403 pound-feet of torque, it makes a good argument. Alternatively, 6.1 liters of SRT crate Hemi will give you about 450 hp, and then there's the 426 cubic inch version of the SRT engine, which Mr. Norm's modified with forged internals and more stroke. Thus tweaked, the 426 nets you about 600 hp, nearly triple the 225 hp kicked out by the police-spec 360 in the original.

Cool pic......thanks.

Take those stacks off, and make sidepipes out of them, and that would be a good looking truck.

I had six of those trucks over the years. Compared to the stuff today they were real junk. Everyone I owned rusted in the same places. The good side was after putting 100k on them I could still sell em for what I paid for em:D

For some reason, never was a big fan....... But it's novel....

600 ponies....... at the crank, right?

Lose the stacks for sidepipes.

Red and black paint combo like John's is nice...... Without the door lettering (a tad dated).

The charge is gonna be large through a private outfit like Norm's.....

The 426 is always a major woodie to old schoolers who never had one....... Like fulfilling an ancient dream.

It's OK...... Mostly attractive to guys who had the originals.....

i would like it more if they added a little wood, or aleast fake wood in the bed. love the truck every time i go to get one some got there 5 mins before me.

I like the concept, except for the stacks..the 600hp version would be pretty cool..
I never really liked the original much..different, but not my taste I guess..
I was never into trucks much till I saw the SRT...had to have one..lol

That means your dad has a 1978. The best year of the two. IMO.

Bill.

Not bad but still no srt plus have your guys seen the prices for anything from Mr Norms? Jeeze might as well just buy a viper and call it a day:p

Just like the mr norm super truck, cool to look at but in my opinion not worth the asking $.:)
