does ebc pads really stop all the darn brake dust????

stop by the local hardware, pick up some 320 grit sand paper.

remove the calipers and the pads, and rotors,

lightly sand the rotors in a circular motion front and back until they have a brushed finish.

take the pads and do the same, making sure you get the entire upper surface clean.

then clean the dust from the calipers.

when ya brake them back in , i found one of the best ways is to do four or five hard stops from about 40 mph

Kickingassrt10....These are all good points and do help however its time you realize what you think is BS actually isn't....stock pads are aggressive pads that will make noise. Repeatedly.....:rock:

what do you do to stop the squeak I get when i brake? I was told that's just a trait of performance braking pads but I don't buy that BS....squeaks at low pressure braking and it sounds like it alternates sides when braking

the stock pads will make noise or return to noisy - regardless of what you do.

can't speak for ebc's, but lotsa folks seem to like them...... dave z's centric pads (that i have) eliminate the noise permanently.

btw, slotted/dimpled rotors do nothing to help the brake issues - save your money..... they look good, that's all.

ditto for me.Zeckhausen pads work great.almost no dust at all.Just gotta make sure you seat them per instructions.
