Does this engine sound right?

Here is a video after the engine cooled down a bit. It seems to be oil related since it gets louder when the oil thins out. Its just as loud on each side, so I don't think its header or exhaust manifold issues, but I checked the manifold bolts anyway and they were all tight.

As far as the oil, manufacture recommends 0w-40 or 5w-40, so I have a hard time using a different weight oil. Guess I will have to think about this one.

So the real question is whether there is engine damage going on, or if this is normal.

ok , finally got my puter back up,

to me when the oil changes color its time to change oil, rule of thumb I use

but with your conditions an so forth, swap to a 10w40 or 14w40 change back to oem or viper filter, and try that

Sounds like a good project for this weekend.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the first number is the oil viscosity when cold, and the second number is the oil viscosity when warm/hot.

How will changing to an oil that is thicker when cold but the same thickness when hot affect the noise from the valve train? I'm looking at you oil experts....

Where do you recommend getting the VIPER filter? How about quickly?

It is the OEM Mopar filter.....some have complained of noise using other filters......you can get one from your dealer or one of the vendors here like JTS Venom.......

Ok Guys, dont laugh too hard when I ask this. Its been forever since I changes my oil without paying for it, Do the auto part stores still take used oil?

I should have been more clear , but the diesel oil has better qualities then reg oil for autos,

I have the viper filters, I think about 10.97? plus $7 shipping I think? heck would have to look LOLOL

but going to the 15/40 is basically a desiel oil, the qualit and the additives in the oil give it more stabalization than a reg auto type oil, it its developed to idle for long periods of time, so the oil doenst break down near as often, sorry for the spelling and rough sentences, a bit tared lOLOL

Tony, all the parts stores here do...I am not sure but I think it is a law that if you sell oil you accept used oil...not sure if state or fed..
