are there 2 speakers in the doors or are the 5 1/4 in the rear doors.

thanks trying to clean the sound up a bit. might have busted a 12in sub at the nats. its not sounding right may replace all of them. bought a bigger amp and a dvd touch screen from crutchfield this morning.

I have those same speakers in my door AMTRUCKER. I made some adaptors using 3/4 inch MDF. The depth of the magnet on those speakers are almost to the point they touch the window inside the door. The other issue is when you make the plate you offset the speaker a bit so its away from the window actuator so the mechanicals don't rub against the speaker. Mine sound awsome with the tweeters in the stock dash location. Just a few tips before you build your adaptors. I used the stock 6X9 depth ring on the stock speaker to make my core template and then played with the speaker location until I got it right. I had to trash one template as it was all cut up until I got the right combination. Cheers!

  Thanks man! I am going to attempt this in the next 2 days. Should be interesting! Thanks for the tips!

thanks for the info guys, id like to get the mid and high range to sound a little better, these stock systems have way too much bass in them for my taste. i like a clean sound. i added 4 tweeters in the doors and a extra sub which i think i blew in ohio. it hasnt sounded right since i came back. probably gonna change both infinity's out for either jl audio or mtx. havent decided yet.
