Guys as you know I've doing a lot of research on superchargers, and think I've pretty much made up my mind. My only dilema was find reputable Viper tech in S Fla and the only one that I would even think about using down here would be Doug Levin. As you guys my already know this guy pretty much designed the Paxton Kit for the Gen 3 Vipers. My dilema was that I decided to go with the Roe supercharger (best bang for the buck), and didn't know if Doug would even install it since he usually works with the Paxton. So I decided to give him a call, and to my surprise he was opened minded about the install. So I'll be dropping by his new place in Davie tomorrow (hopefully) to work out specifics and get a date when he'll be able to work on the truck.

The install will consist of Roe blower, VEC 3, Meth, B&B Header with Catless Mids, CF clutch with Viper Master Slave Cylinder and a couple of other goodies so long as the bank account holds up.

You might want to consider the Stinker Detroit Locker Rear End...less than $3k, will enable you to run slicks (you will need slicks), drop some weight, and lock those rear wheels and avoid sheering spider gears, and select whatever differential ratio you want...PM Stinker about the next group buy...

If you have questions, feel free to NBT or me anytime...

Roy

If you want to feel how she is going to be when done, and if you have any second thought's... I will probably make the GTG on the 18th of May. You can take mine for a spin to see if your "all in";) :burnout:

Mopar has a good point.. ROE turnaround time for install is less than two weeks.

i called them monday and dave told me roe is no longer installing just concentrating on manufacturing, i dont know if he was just trying to blow me off or not.

They told me that to, they will still tune though....

Dave and Sean will never just blow you off. They are serious business people and have a multitude of things pressing on them at this point in time. Some business related and some personal.

The design of this product is as a bolt on...they are following their business plan, and I would not be surprised to hear that they have more new and greater things in development.

Just how obvious is it that I am a Roe fan???

didnt figure they would blow me off, just was wondering about the tune, i asked dave if i installed it and brought it to them would they tune it for me and he said no, im going to call him back today and see if the vec3 i ordered from him monday will have a basic tune card with it so i wont be in the dark

Just ask them for two or three tunes...one at the boost level you want, one for daily driving without meth, and a 91 octane tune to be safe when you happen to not be able to get 93 octane. You might also ask for a no-start card, for security....

Sean knows the tune...one of the advantages of the Roe w/Vec III is that the tunes are very standard...

will do thanks for the info,... u always up early, i noticed in evansville you were out every morning when i walked up....lol

Usually get up at 3 or 4...used to get laid...now I just get up, and am happy to do so.

Always here for you!

Roy,

Have you used the tune with out the meth? If you have, did you feel much of a difference?

Just Curious!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the beard really brings out the Prof in you!!:D :p

I spoke with Dave about a week ago he told me the same thing. He is having a local Dodge dealership install the parts and after they are done they send it to Roe's for the tune.

I have have had Doug do some work for me nothing serious, but I've seen his work and spoken to a couple of his clients, and he is top notch. He not the cheapest, but his work is perfection and he is only a 15 minute drive from me vs. 6 1/2 hrs.

Marc, I really cannot feel the difference...of course I don't run the "lesser" tune very often...I like to be ready!

In all honesty, I run the max tune all the time...when I do experiment with the tune without meth...I really don't feel the difference...

So the beard completes the "Prof" image...well my wife says it makes me look older...just what I wanted to hear:mad:

In my case, the beard helps to hide some of the ugly.

Maybe we should start a facial hair thread...only people with facial hair can post...Silverback, Begood, Includemeout, Mutt, Turtle would be an honorary member because of the initial impression she made; and any other distaff members that are void of hair due to their desire to thrill their male partners??? Any other rules? Now how is that for Hoing up a thread?

I've Known Sean and Dave for several years. I can promise you Dave didn't just blow you off. They are really swamped. But if you give them a chance, They'll treat you right.
