I went to the race track today and had a blast. I only got 4 runs in but it was worth it....missed 3rd gear on my last race and got put out. The track is defiantly hooking up a lot better now. I still think the truck can run a lot faster but it's probably just me babying it:dontknow: I'll get some videos up once Photocrap starts working right.

My best time today was 13.48 @ 104.77mph

yeah you shold be able to get it MUCH faster, were you running on street tires?

Nope, 390 DR's but our track location is @ 5,000' so it doesn't help.

What rpm you launching at? What psi run you running on the DR's?

yeah 5000 feet would kill you, come on down here its only 679ft

20 PSI in the DR's, and I tried launching from several different RPM's from 1500 to 2500.

Any hints or advice will be much appreciated.

Glad you got some better times. Wish I could have made it. So what were the times of the other rides that are in the vids?

I was running 15 psi last time I was there. It looked like you stoped your burnout while you were still in the water box. I would turn off the line lock and goose it out of the box to make sure you get all the water off.

How was the weather? I will bet DA was around 7500, and corrected your time would have been high 11's low 12's @ sea level. Really good runs!

The vette ran a 15.10 and Kevin's SS was running on 7 cylinders with a 150 shot of NOS and his best was low 15's.
Yeah, I do need to keep the burn out going out of the box, and I was told to heat them up a little more then I was. Next time I go I will have on the Calvert traction bars and a little more seat time willl help out a ton.

Chuck are you still working in Rifle? I might have a job down there next week.

Yep I am in Rifle right now. Doing drive by's and only have one rig right now. I will be picking up a second rig in a few days. Should be here for at least another 2 weeks. Give me a call if you get down here. I am should be done by noon and have a lot of spare time down here.
