I have a local guy that is selling some drag radials with the size being 275/40/17. Will these fit on the 17" Eagle alloys that a lot of you have?

So the correct size drag radial for these rims are 275/40/17?

For some reason I thought the size were 390/40/17.

Hmmm...

There is a guy here locally selling some 275/40/17's drag radials (no rims) at a pretty good price. If they would work on the rims I just bought from Todd, I was going to get them. I am just a nimwit when it comes to tire sizes.

i have both size tires 275 and 390's and have mounted them on the same 17 inch wheel so you will be good:rock:

no problem as long as the ones you bought arent on a huge wheel like 12 inch wide your be fine

a 275 requires a 9 inch rim and a 390 requires a 12 inch wheel but most runnin the 390's are on 10 inch wide rims and not 12 inch wide so as long as you have a 17x10 inch rim youll be fine

They will be VERY short, not even 26" tall, stock is 31.5 and 390/40/17 is 29.5

Ya he's got 410s... the short tires put him right at the top of 4th going through the traps:)

I guess it would work fine for an 04......the 05/06 with 4.56 will probably hit the limit..at least my truck would since I am at the end of 4th with the 390s...;)

I would only be running a 1/8th mile track. Will the gearing run out on the 1/8th with 4.56?
bringem bud, hell if they dont work well put them on the john deere and run it a couple times:p

VERY FEW:D But to answer your question Amtrucker22, the 275 Drag Radial is really not wide enough to control your torque. I would save your money and just run the 390's you already have.
