Hey guys, going to take the beast out to the track for the Labor Day drags, which is the biggest event of the year for racing here. I want to see what my best stock times will be with the stock 22's and with DR's. Gonna go with the Eagle Alloy 058's and 390 M/H DR's.

Is there still a forum discount for the wheels and tires? Shipping to Hawaii.

Oh and where would be the best place to order the caltracs from? Don't want to be damaging the rear end at all, should the caltracs be enough to prevent any axle wrap? Track prep should be very well, prepped for 6 & 7 second rides. Thanks guys, Aloha. Kauka

Did you PM our vendors on the group buy?

Mopar Connection had a discount on the wheels and M&H will give you a code (PM them) to input when you order the tires through their website.

The Mopar Connection no longer sells AE wheels...any direction on another vendor?....I tried a retailer search on AE's site but couldnt get it to return any...:dontknow:

Kind of long rant skip to next paragraph if necessary.

Ok I had my wife try and order the rims while I was at work and they don't sell to retail, only licensed buisiness'. That's one thing, but they are so damn unprofessional I don't know how they stay in buisiness. They kept giving her the runaround, had her call like 8 different numbers, then, told her she can't order them, and they were REALLY rude on the phone. Basically I'd have to find a licensed buisiness to order the rims for me, they would also have to make all the arrangements for someone in the mainland to pick up the rims from eagle alloys and ship them cause eagle alloys wont ship them themsleves. Then it would have to go in a damn container on a cargo ship (WTF?) and shipping would take 3 weeks. This is EXACTLY what they said. WTF? 2 26lbs. rims needs a damn container on a ship? I would think the rims can ship by air. We called the main performance shop in Kona to see if they can order from them for us and they absolutely hate dealing with eagle alloys, the customer has to eat extra cost because EA is lazy and they take very long. Not to mention multiple times that EA gives them the wrong rims, then the shop and the customer have to eat the extra shipping cost to ship the wrong rims back and then ship the right ones. No wonder Mopar doesn't deal with them anymore, they are idiots. Sorry for the rant, mods may edit this post is necessary.

So is there somewhere else that has these rims in stock that actually sell to retail customers?

What are the other rims options that will fit the 390/40R17 MH DR's?

Also anyone know exactly how much of a discount we get from MH tires?

Called them and the lady said the discount is $12 which doesn't really seem like a discount at all, the tires are almost $300 a piece.

Damn, might not be able to race at the Labor day drags. I would hate for the stock tires to loose traction at the wrong time and risk kissing the wall. How good are the stock tires at the track?

is your truck stock?.....

Yeah it's still stock, but I'm a dumb brute who doesn't know how to go easy on the throttle. I want to pound it right outa the hole:D

The M&H discount is more than $12 a tire...send a pm to M&H through our vendor list, John will set you up pronto!!!

So should the stock P Zero's get enough traction at the strip on a stock truck, or do you really have to feather it out of the hole still?

Am I good to go with just caltracs?

Trying to make sure traction wont be a big issue.

I run the stock rubber on my SC QC. Yes you can spin the wheels if you are indescriminate with the throttle. With a little effort you can get off the line with a 2.0 60'. The start line is where the race is at. That is where driver skill makes the run. The rest is just hanging on.

My personal goal is a 1.9 60' and a 12.X second pass on stock rubber.

Just run em on stock rubber. You can lower tire pressure to 24 lbs or so. Lots of guys here with modded trucks in the high 12's. Your stock qc should run low 14's or high 13's depending on traction. My friends qc with a gibson exhaust ran 14.5 on Maui..........after a DC Perf flash, he was down to 13.5.

Good luck and have fun...........take some pics too.
