I saw a while back someone took some pics of their truck with some drag skinnis in the front, but just can't seem to find the thread. Can someone please send me a link to that post, pics, and what size rim and tire was used to clear the front caliper.

Thanks
Alex

Alex.. Handling would be SHITE. :eek:You GOTTA know that. I mean, dammit Jim, it's a 5500lb. heavy brick not a front end raising funny car. You're gonna give her too much power Captain and them front skinny slicks are gonna BLOW.

19's are the smallest that fit without grinding the calipers, bogart made some 18's that would somehow clear the calipers but i think they only made 2 sets??:dontknow: PM fstjack or dom i belive they both have a set

Bogart made me one pair of 18's that clear the front calipers of the 04's. These are the only one in existance. They will not clear the 05-06 calipers.
There is a material problem and Bogart cannot make any more at this time.
I also have a pair of CCW 19 inch wheels. These require grinding the front calipers to fit.
No they are not for sale as they cannot be duplicated at this time.
Bogart will make me some more if the material becomes available in the future, but not now.
The tires in the pics are 255x55x18 BFG KDW's.

Jack what is the off set on the bogarts?

I don't remember off hand, I have the set burried in storage right now.
It is just not the offset it is a bunch of things that Rich Bogart had to do to get them to work. The center drop, the hub spacing, ect, ect.
He had to buy a spun forged 10" rim and split it and then put the pieces back together, to end up with a 7 3/8" wide wheel.
Bogart notmally makes/spins their own parts. He does not have 18" dies so they are acquired out of house. The company that made them is in bankrupcy right now and the other company that makes rim outers does not have the correct configuration to make the wheel possible.
I am a Bogart dealer and a friend of Rich Bogarts, and that is the reason he made the pair for me to start with, as they were a real pain in the butt to make.
I have a standing order for 4 more pairs of wheels but we cannot get the necessary parts, Bogart is willing to make the wheels for us but it cannot be done at this time.
We are checking repeadly for availablity of parts; but as with a lot of Viper truck stuff, it does not exist.

I have a question on duplicating the wheels. Would it be possible to have them scanned and digitized, and using a CNC machine cut new wheels? I saw a thread on here a little while back concerning Jay Leno and a parts scanning/duplication machine he had to replicate old, out of date, no longer produced parts. Not sure if the same concept could be used to duplicate the wheels or how much $$$$ such an endeavor would cost.

Damn, those Bogarts look great. Is there 17 inch Bogarts with that pattern that would fit the M/H 390's DR's and will clear the rears without shaving, also would we be able to order them from you? I like that design better than the EA's.

do you have any pics of the CCW's? and how much they weigh?

Here a few pics of the CCWs, I do not know what they weigh but they are heavier than the Bogarts.

It can be done if you have a Jay Leno sized wallet..............

My guess that they would cost 4000.00-6000.00 a pair to do it that way.

I will check with Bogart Monday and see if he can do a 17" wheel, the bolt pattern is no problem.
If it can be done they would probably be in the 450.00-500.00 range per wheel.

I can get any wheel made that Bogart makes, I sell them to supporting forum members at my cost.

but the ccw's are way lighter than the factory wheels i would assume

The CCW are lighter than the factory wheels.

In my opinion the CCWs are not as nice a wheel as the Bogarts. The quality and finish with the Bogarts is better. Bogart also uses an nickle coned nut insert which CCW does not, on the CCW the nut rides directly on the aluminum hub.

The calipers must be shaved with the 19" CCWs for use on the 04s. The 05 front calipers are bigger so I don't know if the CCWs will fit an 05.

The Bogarts are only a direct bolt on fit on the 04s, due to the caliper sizing. I believe that the calipers could be shaved on the 05-06s to fit the Bogarts, if we can get the part to get them made.

Those CCW's would sure look purdy with my slicks. Where did you get them? What size tire you running?
