These are the kind of stats that just plain confuse me.

12.6 w/Paxson & slicks with a 1.7 60'.

That really sounds reasonable to me. But I keep seeing high 12's on street tires with basically stock trucks...but I never see BS flags...

I guess that some trucks are just stronger than others, I don't doubt anything anyone says, because that is just the way I am...even after some fabricate stories I am still willing to let it pass...but I really wonder about stock trucks in the 12's. But hell, who am I to question times, claims and time sheets...I have never been in the 12's. Sure hope this doesn't ho up this thread too much.

BigRed hit the nail on the head Prof. Stock or near stock trucks can do it, BUT ONLY if they are on a well prepped track with LOW or negative DA.

Oh and only with a good driver too. :p

Shoot! I just can't win...anyone want to buy a '04 RC with about 25,000 miles?

I'll give you $.50 for every mile on your truck . . . Deal? :dontknow: :p :D

Just a comment on the hijacked part of the thread.....Big Red and I run at the same track. It's Houston Raceway Park. The track is near sea level and my best time there in my SRT10 is with a DA of -700+ (or at least that's what they were announcing....but into an 8mph headwind). On a good track prep. with current mods and no traction issues I've run several 12.80s and a string of 12.90s, but also a number of 13.1-13.3s. Having an excellent track near sea level keeps my worst times good, with weather conditions being the variable. Since last cool weather I've added a JMB CAI. I'm buying the M&H drag radials and light wheels moparconnection has for sale. I'm getting a shift kit next month. It may be a Shirley Temple outlook ("High Hopes") but with these upgrades since last going to the track, and having caught better conditions with my previous truck (Hemi/n.a. 14.036), I really want a 12.5x normally aspirated from my current truck. I don't think I have a means of posting my timeslips but I do have them from every run I've ever made at any track, and keep all that data plus weather cconditions and other variables in an ever increasing Excel spreadsheet.

In no way am I responding because I feel previous comments in the thread are to say I or others are lying about times. Just felt a need to provide more info..

Perhaps there needs to be another column in the timeslip section for DA corrections to sea level?

Best to all,
oldguy
