Has anyone tried a 1 piece drivshat in a QC----would that be a cheap mod to get a little more power transfer to the rear wheels ----any pros and cons to doing this ---just trying to get some input on my out of the box whacked way of thinking:dontknow:

I remember people talking about this...they said it would be expensive and heavy. :dontknow:

Doesn't the RC have a one piece ----it appears that the QC has a 2 piece shaft that isn't much longer than the RC,,,,Would it be that much difference in the strength and vibration if the angle was set to compensate...

bingo , the QC is jsut a longer wheelbase, I guess you could do a one peice, but i think the prob is that with that long a driveshaft it would have to be a large circumfrence so that at high rpms it wouldnt start "wobling" or "flexing"

i think we can get one done in carbon fibre for around $800-$1000 or so

Tony - do you think that this would be a useful and worth while modification---or a mod that would be to expensive and without much gain or benifit.....

I dont really think there would be a gain myself, the drivshafts in the quads are so strong now , i dont think it would help much:dontknow:

ok thanks Tony----just need to get input on my whacky ideas...

Wouldn't it be sweet to have and say you have a "carbon fibre" driveshaft! :burnout:

The one I saw at Roe was 10 pounds lighter than the stocker (NBT and I weighed them to see the difference while browsing the shop). Probably 700-900 to cut one. Don't know if you really need it however. They had it made due to the pinion angle after the lowering kit installed. Talk to Dave V at Roe about it. Maybe he has some advice?
