So....

The NHRA safety rules....make no mention of a driveshaft loop for a 2 piece....

But rules aside...I would like some comfort in the case of a failure...

Called Unitrax and they said they don't make them but a customer is in the shop with a Baja 1000 truck and all those guys use a limit strap under their driveshafts just in case...

what do you think....???

it couldn't hurt i guess, i have only seen limiting straps on sand rails and baja trucks like you mentioned. but that was on the suspension to keep the shocks from drooping to far while jumping. $22 for peace of mind sounds alright.

I have them on my rock crawler..If it have hold an Dana 60 Front axle, I cant see why it wouldn't hold a driveshaft :)

The only problem I can see it it not 'holding' it in a (per say) metal loop/container.... It might want to bounce/spin all over the place more then it would with a metal 'loop'??
