Driveshaft ??

You mean eliminating the carrier bearing? and running straight from trans to drive axle...what would be the purpose to do so?

I was just wondering if it would get more power to the ground, and make a lowering kit easier to install w/o vibrations. :dontknow:

the 06 models are the only ones I have run into with vibration problems

but as far as a single driveshaft it can be done, but you would need a really really good shop to build it for ya, for one thing the lenght, they would have to make sure its very straight and balanced properly, and the balancing would be a serious pain on one that long, but it can be done.

there were a couple people a few years back looking into doing one, mainly dragracing, but figured it wasnt feasable. but heck people are breaking new ground every day on these trucks with new ideas bud,

Thanks, i guess i will just leave it alone, i will be getting a lowering kit from stinker soon, i was worried about the vibrations on my QC, i have just read alot of posts here saying how much of pain it was getting the vibrations from their trks.

Can I use i single driveshaft on my QC?

Check out Denny's Driveshaft. If it can be done they will build you one. Doubt if he will do one that long with aluminum though.

Is the vibration also there when just lowering the rear to level? If so how bad is it and at what speed is it felt? Sorry to hijack the thread.

it takes power to turn "anything".

good bet would be 2 to 5 h.p. to turn a carrier bearin

no sir, jsut on the ones that do a flip kit there Santeen

but on th edriveshaft , I have the driveshaft shop 45 minutes from me that builds them for top fuelers and drag guys, and he guarantees all his work,

No worries with vibration on the 05 QC I leveled mine off and not even a hint of vibration! I think the one piece would defeat the purpose (no offense) if your not building this truck strictly to kick some ass!
