Driving with shorty headers.

I just bought some Bassani shorty headers. My question is: Will it be ok to drive with only the headers installed to the muffler shop? I had heard that if you drive with only your exhaust manifolds you could possibly burn an exaust valve. Thanks

how far? and this time of year it may not be bad, the problem is on decel if you suck in cool air into the engine quickly like that, there is a possiblity of warping a valve if not mistaken

I will be driving at least 15 miles. Stop and go traffic. around 5 miles on the freeway.
