Awhile ago there was a GTG in Edmonton and I noticed quite a few hood liners were sagging down, so when I had a better look at mine I realized it was starting to sag as well. My truck is pretty much a garage queen since I am rarely home to drive it, it only has about 8200km (5100 miles). I do not drive it in the rain either so the liner has never even been wet. Dodge should have used 5 retainers at the bottom edge instead of only 3. I do not want to drill any holes for more retainers so I was thinking about using some double-sided tape or maybe some velcro to hold it back up.
Has anyone else done anything to solve the issue?

I ordered a new one. Painted it black with about 4 rattle cans. Painted the Viper logo red. Then bought all new push pins plus 6 extra. Fits like a glove and is semi cleanable now.

How much from the stealership

Got any pix??? I've seen all the pix of people that have painted the Viper lettering, but nothing yet with the rest of the "fabric" spray painted black. I'd love to see that. Might just be my next show mod...

Well as strange as this may sound to most of you guys, as my sig says I will not do anything to my truck which could not be reversed to keep it completely Stock and factory original. A drilled hole would be a defect that could not be fixed.

I would think using velcro would not last long being that it gets very hot under the hood. Would'nt the glue melt? +1 for drilling holes and adding clips.

I put velcro on mine about 3 weeks ago, but ive been working, and the truck hasnt been driven so Im not sure yet how it will hold up to the heat???

I have velcro that I need to remove from under the hood where I had the VEC....stuff is like it is welded to the truck...been there 10 months..

I think if you get the exact same plugs from dodge and measure them out so they are spaced evenly, they would look factory and who would ever know other wise?

But if you install them stratically you can't even tell...And when you open the hood you well known that the VIPER POWERED hoodliner you see...I painted the letters silver & red...Looks good...You could sorta see in this pic...
