DTC codes, how to retrieve them?

I did a search and could not find a thread on how to retrieve these codes. In my Z06 you used the buttons on the side of the instrument pod. Do these trucks have a way to pull them without a code reader?

If I remember right you turn the key to the on position 3 times within 5 seconds. Then the codes should be displayed on the odometer.

Yup, just make sure to leave it ON, on the third turn! Took me a little bit to figure that out!!!
