with the headers and catless mids the dynamax bulletts are too much. The magna flows are junk and really didnt like the sound. has any one tried flowmasters or borlas xr 1 ?

LOL! I told ya it was going to be loud . . . :p :D I think XR-1's are going to be equally as loud. They're straight through as well . . . Maybe add some hi-flo cats or resonators.?? :dontknow:

i put two flowmasters on mine to help quit it down ,,i junked the magna flow muffler sounded like crap

I think all are going to be loud without cats bo, try putting some hi flows on, someone here had some for sale they decided not to use, and go that way, your only going to loose a couple hp, and they deaded the sound considerably.

Thats the only thing I can think of without going to a restrictive muffler:dontknow:

ive got one of 3 in out of bassani's with no cats and the straight through magnaflows. its low as shit but thats what i wanted. ill try to post it up later on. kinda busy right now.

the popping has doubled with the bulletts, thats what drives me crazy. the idle sounds great and under hard acceleration fine, but let off the throttle just a little and damn. i will try to get a sound clip later today.

Only while the pipes are warming up. Even then, it's minimal. I've got an "H" to help equalize the pressure.

Do you have any type of crossover at all??

My truck use to pop like crazy on decel! Now that I have the SCT tune it doesn't do it anywhere near as much. I was dissapointed cause I liked the popping!!:p Still sounds great on acceleration! I believe it has something to do with taking out fuel on the deceleration!

Just a thought!!;)

Well hell. The memory card's full. I'll have to do it another time. . .

I put the "H" just beyond the tailshaft of the transmission. The location where the left and right side pipes become parallel and start heading towards the rear of the truck. Oh, and I've still got the stock resonator too.

Now I will get an occasional pop/crackle/blurp. But again, that's minimal. I'll get em at different RPM's depending on exhaust pressure. I think the H helps that aspect a TON.

Here's an old video. Right around 1:30 I'll start doing some decel. You'll hear a crackle or two, but it doesn't pop all the way down the RPM range.

The place where you get your tune has a lot to do with the popping.I also have an "H" type cross-over and it totally stopped the popping in mine.Mine is just where they go parallel to each other.I am using the stock muffler and catless mids. Not as low a tone as I would like, but reasonable compromise between decent sound and not getting tickets.:D

l will try that. did a local muffler shop fab the h ?

Vortex cone

try a pair of Dynatech vortex cones (1 in each pipe)near the header collector outlet or at the outlet of your mufflers plus the H or X pipe the vortex cones are around $70.00 from summit or jegs, stinker should sell these
