Last fall Sean came to northern Illinois to tune a handful of Vipers. The participants were very happy with the results and it was an opportunity to get the very best in tuning expertise.

Sean says he is willing to do it again this year. So I am exploring the degree of interest here in the upper mid-west...

The way we worked the costs last year was to get payment upfront, for two hours of Sean's time, and travel expense and dyno rental.

My estimate is $400 per tune (about two hours) on a dynojet. That is not a fixed amount it may vary...

We will only take 8 vehicles for the two day period.

Not an obligation at this point, but I would like to get a feel for the interests here. There are three other sites that had Viper owner interest last year...but before I go there I need to have a feel for the interest here at VTCOA.

So let me know if you are interested...once we see who is interested, we will look at when to do it...

Count me in, make it is soon then I will hold off, next week I am gonna pay Norm a Visit, then to GLD. Heard some troubling stories about the dyno shops around here. They'll dyno your shit then some how mysteriously your shit vanishes:dontknow: So Make it happen Professor:D :rock: :marchmellow:
 
I'm interested in this. Hey Prof, where will the dyno be? I just got a place in Joliet. I'm still in Pensacola but I should be up there in about a little over a week.
 
If I was going back to school I'd be there. I did a C school in Great Lakes just down the road. I ran up at Union Grove when I was there. Great track.

why? i was planning on going to his shop to get mine tuned and he said there was no need for that. he said using the internet was just as good as being there.

Wow had no idea, how can he check for detonation over the internet? Will have to contact him about this.
 
The process can be accomplished via the phone and internet. The final checking for slight detonation at specific rpm, which most really good tuners are able to detect with close listening, cannot be done unless he is there.

But Sean is known as a conservative tuner (unless you specifically direct him to take your timing to the bleeding edge). His remote tunes will be outstanding and safe.

What you miss is a few hours with Sean doing his magic, commenting, and passing some of his immense knowledge, and just plain enjoying being in the process with a Viper expert with few peers.

Sean was also a driver for years before becoming a developer...he lives this engine and understands a lot of the subtle aspects that we often over look.

your right:congrats: and thats why im going to go to florida and let him do it, instead of over the internet. thanks for talking me into it prof.
 
A few hours with Sean is an education...but you would be happy with the remote tune, no question in my mind.

I'm not sure that he has kept his dyno...I know he really downsized last year.
