E85 beter then racing fuel.

i believe this might be a good solution for those who use boost.
i think the big difference between a flex fuel car and one that is not is a flex fuel can deal with the water in the fuel. you might have to check it but it will offer more benefit then running a leaded fuel and ruining your o2 sensor.
e85 will not harm that.

look at the new cars and how they have more power on e85 then on premium.

E85 should not be used in a non flex fuel vehicle...it has less energy and will destroy fuel line components....it is not an alternate to race fuel.......though it could work if you spend the $$$$ to convert but it takes more than just a dyno tune.....

yes, it makes more power (look at the ford raptor) BUT your car has to be made to run on it, so the conversion cost alone doesnt really make it worth the effort and extra ponies

And also to,I was reading that your flex fuel vehicle will consume 30% more fuel on E85 too ,it says that right in the owners manual!

A lot of peple down here are using it on there boosted cars. It is cheaper than race fuel and is less prone to detonation. The problem is, you need to almost double the amount of fuel to make the same horspower that you were making before.

i think a small blend would be better then what one member did adding 110L to his tank. i think it would be safe to about 30% as they are about to raise it in fuel anyhow to 15%, that push i believe is done for two reasons, one is raises the octane in crappy fuel even higher, so they can use crappier fuel. two corn producers are seeing a decrese in corn spot prices, E15 would again push up the price of corn. a side effect of this is more people will die of starvation because poor countrys would not be able to afford corn as easily.

I know a guy using E85 on a boosted Mustang. It is a special tune but as was mentioned earlier, you have to set it up to run a ton more fuel compared to gasoline. You're not going to be able to swap back and forth between the two.

Mixing it with gas will make it even trickier to figure out injector sizing etc when changing back and forth, not to mention you better get that mix exactly right if you're going to push the ragged edge on a race tune which is the only time us boosted guys care about octane above pump gas.
