Will our trucks run on E85? Saw the links in DenofThievz sig and looked through them. The base im stationed at is scheduled to be a source for E85 very soon. I did the math with est. pricing of E85 and the subsequent 25% loss in fuel economy and came up to a savings of $10 for the same number of miles traveled. Plus maybe a small power boost from the higher octane.

Thoughts???

NO! To run that fuel your vehicle has to be specially setup. These trucks will not run on it! DenofThievz will tell you that too! He promotes the fuel for "Green" cars, ours are just plain old gas guzzlers!

There is good article in Autoweek where a group of automotive engineers were asked how many tanks of E85 it would take to ruin an engine not made for it, and they all said 2!
