I don't know man. PF doesn't make the 05 fronts. There are a couple of brands out there, Hawk or maybe someone else, but I am not familiar with them.

I will tell you that I tried the EBCs before PF started making the rears and they did not cut the mustard with me. Still dusted up my wheels like no tomorrow. Pulled them right back off.;)

I had EBC's on the red truck =

Switched them out with 600 miles on them for performance friction = :D

Much less dust and better stopping. = ;)

Maybe I should get the Performance Friction pads. Vipertruck2933, where in Saint Louis can I get them?

Any Autozone can order them Dave. 0965-20 for the fronts and 0702-20 for the rears. About $40 for the rears and $50 for the fronts.

Wait till you see how clean my wheels are Monday. I kid you not, these pads DO NOT dust.;)

Whats the way to go on the 05's guys???? :dontknow:
i'm gathering from the few who responded that the autozone #1085c (ceramic) will work on the '05 fronts as long as you do some grinding to the pad catches on the pad itself...... the autozone 04/05 rear pad part # 0702-20 will work on the rears.......:D

Hey everyone. I finally found a good thread on brakes. I've got an 05 QC and went through a few different sets within the first 2K miles and settled on some pads, front and back, from Quality Friction. They are sold under the name Vortex. They are graphite metallic. Very, very, very low dust and no noise whatsoever! They are designed for use on large vehicles, emergency vehicles, police cars, etc. Great stopping power and now I don't sound like an old yellow school bus two days after cleaning! Has anyone heard of these? I hadn't until after I bought the truck.

Not to stomp anyones sale here, but if you have an 04 truck the Performance Friction brake pads at Autozone are FAR better. No dust and no squeel. The EBCs will still dust up your wheels.

2 cents

Will be at Auto Zone in D' mornin'.

I think I found the website:

http://www.oeqf.com/index.php

Maybe ViperBite can supply the part numbers. If not you can always call them and explain what you need. Their parts list is huge. I'll wait a little for ViperBite to give us some numbers if not I will call them next week.

I've been battling brake dust for years since I bought a Prowler in 2000. Hate washing the truck rims everytime I take it out.

Would these fit my 04 RC? I already got performance friction pads and they are doing much better than the stock one. Less dust!

Thanks. At least I found the site;) I'm pretty poor at details though:(

Do I hear group buy anyone, or maybe if Quality Friction doesn't sell to end users we could get one of our forum vendors to front a buy for us.

Sorry everyone...it's taken me awhile to get back to this thread. I received a PM from moparracing today regarding the specifics on the pads. I'll be honest, I didn't pay much attention to the part #'s, etc. I was just exited to get something on the truck that worked. I got the pads from a local mechanic who owns/runs a shop here in Sacramento, CA. He was working with his brake rep to get something that would work for me. We went through the Bendix and Rhebestos and they didn't work any better than the stock pads. We finally went with the Vortex pads and they are great. As I told moparracing, I will get as much information, even a contact for purchases if possible, on Friday and get it out to everyone ASAP.
