I recently bought an Eclipse avn7000 Navigation/dvd for my srt 10.Well i installed it partially and I love the screen and nav functions. But some one had to go and post a picture of a custom double din install in one of our trucks and now I just have to do that mod.http://www.vtcoa.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=595&stc=1&d=1149558199

I am going to go with the Eclipse avn5495.That is the only reason for the sale. This unit is basically new.I put it in 2 weeks ago and it is still new condition.I even bought the optional remote for it.Msrp is 2399.00 I paid 1780.00. Shoot me a fair offer.
Pm me or call me at home, (707) 427-3841 lv. a message if i am not home. Thanks! Bill

Here are the pics .

Dumbass haha!!! Do you have any pics?

I will take some pics today.I wanted to give a good deal to a forum brother before i stuck it on Egay, I mean Ebay.:D

Thats my truck!
it is the avn 5495. I absolutely love it, recently got the sirius update for it. its a fine piece of equipment. I have the stearing wheel interface as well, it acts like a remote, so it has a small lag, but its still nice to have the functionality though. If you look at the upper left corner of the silver part, you'll see a little black bump, thats all that is visiable. I finally got the memory stick to work, that took me a while, and several emails with eclipse, they have lovely customer support. This is my only other pic of the install. you can see that the road my house is on, isn't even on the map. Hence the lack of lowering kit on my truck....

Thats the shit bro! I had pondered the idea before, but i never took measurements. You proved it could be done.I bought the avn7000 and its a great unit , but the double din is what i want.I am pretty good with abs and fiberglass, so i know i could do it.I plan on covering mine in carbon fiber vinyl thogh.Mine wont be an exact copy.I might even do the Pioneer avicz1.:dontknow:
Thanks for the killer idea . :D

unless pioneer has a new one, you can't have the navigation and the dvd player on at the same time. Which was a no deal for me. I love poping in a dvd while cruising down the interstate, and relaxing until it beeps at me telling me i need to turn soon.

Not a problem. It will be a couple of weeks at least.I have to sell the AVN7000 first.
