ECM for B&G Flash.

I have been looking around for a ECM so that I can send it over to B&G for a Stage 2 Flash.

Part # P05029997AD

My local dealer wants $504.00!!
I got a reply from OEMDODGEPARTS.COM for $377.50

Anyone else got any other sources where I might get it cheaper...?

Just call DC Performance who does the flash, they have them for $298. Then just get the Stage 2 flash from them and your set to go. Their number is 310-841-6996.
 
Yep - I bought my spare ECM through DC Performance for my Flash.

Just called DC Performance ordered the -

Stage 2 Flash, ECM, and 170 Stat.
ECM - $300
Flash- $600
Stat - $68.00

Shipped Overnight - $968.00 Total.

Here is what they told me I got with this flash:

Shift points more aggressive
Raise rev limit 6000 from 5500
Optimized Timing
Get rid of torque management completely.
Revised fan cycling
Most Gains 3000-5000 rpm ranges
Approx/Average 60hp , 70lbs torque gains

We also discussed doing their SC kit, installed was about $11,500.

I thought the flash would cost more, I wonder if its the same for RC. I don't plan on buying a space PCM, so 300 bux freed up :)

ECM-B&G

Seems like a good price for the ECM,but $600 for a flash,I think I paid $250-or$300,but that was From B&G,whom I thought did the flash's for DC,I have had flash's done on many different cars,oh well sign of the time's,I guess they have to get their cut,but not from me!

Yeah.. I thought it was kinda high myself... but DC told me that they helped develop the flash for B&G, and their version was only available from DC... but if I wanted to call B&G I could. Which I might do.. and see whats up...

yep.. I just talked to B&G and they do the flashes for DC, when the truck is a QC Auto. So I am going to call DC and ask whats up with the $150 upcharge.. when I could have sent my ECM to B&G.. dunno why they had to lie to me and not inform me of this.. when I asked specific questions about the flash...

I understand a bit of a markup.... but 33% for doing nothing more than throwing it in a box and sending to B&G... now I am questioning their business ethics....

DOES THE S/C PRICE INCLUDES THE TRANNY UPGRADE?????

OR WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE????

We did not get that far into the discussion.. as the upgrade is out a little ways for me...

I will.. I have been trying to call them.. but keep getting voice mail..
 
Ok. Here the scoop on the flash differences between B&G and DC. I spoke with Dan @ DC regarding my concerns.

1. Yes DC does send the ECMs to B&G to be flashed (Only for Stage 2)

2. The flash is different from what B&G sells as their Stage 2 Flash (mostly in timing and in shift points).

3. B&G has a contractural agreeement with DC to only sell "the DC Version of the flash via DC performance"

4. B&G (Dave) worked together with DC to develope this specific flash version.

5. All irregularities such as pinging with different fuel types, etc.. were on early 2005 QCs, which have now all been corrected.

I appreciated Dan's honesty, in explaining the major differences between B&Gs and DC's Stage 2's flashes.
