I hard piped from the water neck on the engine to the pump, then just rubber hose to the radatior. its kinda nice how they ran the lower hose that close to the frame it makes for a easy install. I remove the water pump and took the impellar off and milled down the end of the shaft, welded a cap around the end of the shaft(just in case of a bearing failure i dont have water going out everywhere). And the wiring would be up to you i ran it to my switch panel in the cab. since yours is a daily driver i assume a 12volt keyed source and a relay would work great. Also my truck is set up for road racing and cooling is not a problem.
