I've actually never heard one of our engines with an aftermarket cam in person. Just video clips which I don't think did any of them justice.

Question for you Tony. Can you still get the reverse beehive springs that don't require machining?

yessir, the guy I get my engine parts from unfortunatly had some problems with his father and sickness, but called me yesterday to let me know he would be back tuesday.

I jsut want to double check with him on price of them, but they do work without machining and with the oem retainors.

but that will be a sweet sounding cam, but dont forget to get hardnend push rods also

Also, how do you like the 4.88 gears outside of the 1320 track? I have the OEM 4.10's in my 2004 and am trying to determine if 4.56's are preferred over 4.88's for all around driving.

i have made the switch to 4.56 gears from 4.10 ,and yes the 4.56 feels alot better for around town driving and makes 6th gear useable. the 4.10 makes the truck feel like a slug in 6th gear!

The 4.88's are best in the city, not so good on the highway. If you must frequently drive on hwy's stick with 4.56's. If you're just looking for the best gear for stop light to stop light go with the 88's.

Not sure. I bought this cam/pushrod set up from kyle. He had it in his 04 and had no issues.
