Engine cooling fan

I just got off the phone with Spal USA and bought an electric fan from them.. And this is not a post to hurt any vendors buisiness just passing on info. but I had to have a special fan that was very narrow due to the intercooler and couldnt find one anywhere Everyones was 3 inchs or more. Contacted Spal and they are taking care of my needs.
But on to why I started the post. Right now they have a special that if you buy a 12 inch or bigger fan they will include a fan -pwm free, which is a programable fan controller. It can be set to any degree say 160 degrees and it comes on at 50% then set for top degree say 185degree and it gradually increases to 100%, it can be set at any degree, and it also works with the A/C. But the thing that caught me was it was included for free ,a $89 value, but you must call them to get this. Prices were not too bad. But for you guys with hot rods or other vehicles or the rams it may be a good deal for someone. their web is www.spal-usa.com then click on web store for details of fans.

How much is your setup? How much air is it pushing thru?
I still haven't heard from Boomer about his, so I will look at them.

Mine is verythin only a little over 2 inches thick, 16 inches round and pushes 1600 or so cfm. the normal 16 inch does 2360cfm I think for around $157 and they have a 3000 cfm for $299. I had to go with super thin because of the intercooler the way its mounted leaves me no room. But that fan controller is cool! and they have a 3 year warranty also.

I need to see if I can find this article again, but what it amounted to was that some fans that mounted in front of the radiator actually made the engine run hotter. This was because they blocked the air coming into the radiator.

Just something to think about, and I will try to find that test article.

Thats cool Silver, but I am ordering mine going on the success the other guys have had from using there's. I jsut have so much heat under the hood its unreal, I am also going to remove the scoop insert , so I can get the most air inside as I can, hopefully it will let enough in to force the hot out the bottom.
